Kaya elders from the Coast vowed to support Jubilee following allegations that the NASA coalition sidelined them even before meeting. The elders led by the Kaya Council of Elders Chairman Charo Menza said that they will support Jubilee because the Kilifi gubernatorial aspirant Gideon Mung'aro has been supporting them in their respective areas.

Mung’aro spoke at Serena Hotel after meeting the Mijikenda Council of Elders, who pledged to support President Uhuru Kenyatta. “We are not selfish and that’s why we decided to look for those who will build roads, hospitals and create jobs for our people,” the Kilifi North MP said. The Jubilee point man at the Coast said the region must have a stake in government if youth are to be given jobs.

According to Menza, the NASA coalition through their officials on the ground have neglected them and now urge the government to support them as they will back it up on the ground.

The Kilifi Jubilee gubernatorial aspirant  Gideon Mung'aro, the elders were needed to be kept healthy and clean from their respective county governments. The county governments have failed the elders after a series of meetings which denied them a chance of participating in the county activities.
