Bomet Deputy Governor Dr. Hillary Barchok to be sworn as the new governor of Bomet after the death of Joyce Laboso. The preparations are underway for Swearing in the deputy governor.
Dr. Hillary Barchok has been in the office since 2017 as the deputy governor. He will be expected to name his deputy soon after the swearing-in ceremony.
It's speculated that DR. Hillary Barchok has selected Dr. Edward Abonyo husband to the Late Joyce Laboso as his deputy for the remaining two years.
"When we went to look for him, we did not know who was and who carried placards to announce who we were after. It was quite a challenge and after several misses, we got our bearing only .to find that he was away on duty abroad,” said Dr. Edward Abonyo.
Dr. Abonyo added: “We almost gave up as his phone was not going through, but eventually we got through to him and set up a meeting. He was a total stranger, but as fate had it, we were bound to run for this together and I am proud we made it.
