Deputy President William Ruto holds talks with Uganda President Yoweri Museveni celebrated a birthday and later joined gathering at Makere University.
" Africa is not the finished article yet; not economically, not socially and not politically. The future of Africa will not be determined in our absence, let us engage and participate fully in the work of leading Africa to her rightful place of peace and prosperity," DP Ruto said.
" This will require pooling together of knowledge and ideas across borders, cultures, and disciplines, " he added.
Uganda President Yoweri Museveni expressed his gratitude for welcoming Dr. Ruto saying education should be the first priority in East Africa.
" It's a pleasure also to have your name in Uganda.. hhhmmmm you are such a wonderful son of East Africa, " President Museveni said.
During a courtesy call on President Yoweri Museveni at State Lodge, Mubende and laying a foundation stone for William Ruto Institute of African and Leadership Studies at Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda.
