KRA launch an online alternative dispute resolution services -Kenya

Kenya Revenue Authority offers an online dispute resolution mechanisms to minimize movements during Coronavirus pandemic.


" No need to leave the comfort of your home to settle your tax disputes. Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) services are now offered online via various video/teleconferencing channels, " a circular stated.


" Your disputes are heard and solutions decided without you physically having to attend an ADR session, it stated.


The Parties involved in an ADR Process include; Taxpayer, Commissioner, and Facilitator.

The Role of the Parties includes;  

• Uphold and maintain decorum, and confidentiality.
•  Participate in all discussions fairly and diligently. 
•  Make full disclosure of material facts relevant to the Tax dispute. 
•  Attend all scheduled meetings. Strictly adhere to the agreed timelines.
