Kilifi Nominated MCA Martha Koki Musyoki surrenders her salary to the Coronavirus fight county kit. The move is seen to raise eyebrows among the MCAs after majority declined to slash their salaries.

The Nominated MCA move comes as the Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi prepares the first batch of foodstuff the vulnerable in the county.

The county assembly admitted that the food being taken to the residents is like a drop in the ocean and will not suffice the whole population and residents to look for other ways of feeding themselves.

Hon Martha Koki Musyoki remains to the only one who has forfeited her full salary in the whole county in the fight against Coronavirus. The Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi and his cabinet slashed their salaries in the fight against the naval virus.

" I'm not able to reach everyone in the county, however, my salary in the county kit can help someone at the far end of the county. That is my donations and everyone has a different view, " she said.

" We will take the law in our hands. We cannot stay home hungry. Let the governor know that it is not rural areas even in the towns there is no food. People are not working. Everything is money and the majority do not have now. We will take the law in our hands to get food no matter the circumstances, " Patrick Chamongo Mongwe a resident at Mtwapa said.
