Malindi Mp Aisha Jumwa donates food to residents of Makobeni Sub-Location, Jilore ward. The move comes after another distribution happened at Kakuyuni and Madunguni cushioning residents on the pandemic. The food was distributed to the vulnerable homes.



The Legislator urged people to maximize this rainy season with cultivating enough food.



More than 10,000 families In the sub-county are facing starvation. However the county government of Kilifi is working hard on feeding the vulnerable in the area.

" Let's extend hands to vulnerable families. If you have a neighbour that has been hugely affected by the pandemic, let's all help. This pandemic is for all of us, so we need to help one another, " Malindi Mp Aisha Jumwa said.



Goshi, Jilore, Langobaya locations are mostly hit by hunger due to the pandemic.





" We depend on our children who work in towns. Some depend on daily activities to feed ourselves. We have small businesses which are now affected due to the movement cessation. We urge the national government and county government to consider us in relief food, " Baya Mwaro from Langobaya said.



The food distribution at Makobeni was headed by locals and constituency officials. Mr George Kombe and Mrs Elina Mapenzi took the lead.
