Embakasi East MP Babu Owino gets a relief over his attempted murder case after a Nairobi court issued an immune order holding several entities from discussing on the issue.

On Wednesday, July 8, Nairobi Senior Principal Magistrate Bernard Ochoi silenced the media, bloggers, the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions and the Director of Criminal Investigations from discussing on the DJ Evolve case.

Babu Owino went to court after NTV aired a story about DJ Evolve’s recovery following his hospitalization from a gunshot injury.

In the NTV interview, DJ Evolve said that since the shooting incident, he has lost his freedom and grapples to talk.

Paul Ongili alias Babu Owino was charged with attempted murder over the shooting of the DJ in January this year at the popular B Club in Kilimani Estate, Nairobi.

The MP’s lawyers, Cliff Ombeta and Mr Dunstan Omari told the court that the DPP had recently incited Embakasi East constituents, asking them to suspend the lawmaker.
