Joseph Shiro kills his wife in Emukaya over Ugali dispute - Kakamega

 

 

Kakamega County Police officers have detained a man who claimed to have killed his wife on Monday night over food dispute at Emukaya village.


Joseph Shiro, who is the main suspect, reported having returned home drunk and ordered to be served a second round of Ugali, a demand that angered his wife Florence Makonjio.


The couple got into a dispute before the man picked a jembe and hit his wife on the head.


According to the couple’s daughter, the father arrived home drunk and bitter and was even dancing in anger before them before the disagreement occurred.


The family of the deceased has displayed shock at the incident, noting that the couple did not have any conflict before the incident.
The suspect was detained at Shilakwe Police Post in Navakholo pending arraignment.

The dead body was taken to Kakamega mortuary.
