More troubles to Migori Governor Okoth Obado as ODM secures their bid after requesting security withdrawal of the embattled governor.

 

The Government has on Wednesday withdrawn the security detail of the Governor.


Mr Obado's keepers were removed hours after Migori County Assembly Speaker Boaz Okoth made similar claims.

 

ODM, led by its party leader Raila Odinga, wants deputy governor Mwita Mahanga to take charge of the county affairs since the governor is prohibited from office.


“If the impeachment started from the ODM, well and fine but so far there is none. I am questioning the ODM party to avail the minutes that decided my fate,” he said.


“I am pleading for fair play because once that is not practised I have a reason to complain because I am being used as a guinea pig.”

Mr Obado has been charged beside others with embezzling Sh73 million of public funds.
