The film industry in Kenya is grieving after the loss of gifted actress Pretty Mutave.
News of her demise was confirmed by Citizen TV news anchor Lulu Hassan on the morning of Tuesday, September 15.
In her post, Lulu eulogised Mutave saying they had numerous plans collectively but God's will had to predominate.
"We had plans but God had better plans...Rest well. Rest with the Angels pretty. Inallilahi wa ina illayhi Rajiun," wrote Lulu.
Pretty Mutave is alleged to have died on her way to the hospital. According to a post on Facebook by Frank254, the Aziza and Moyo actress died while she was on her way to the Coast General Hospital in Mombasa.
Frank said the family revealed that she had been sick since March this year.
She is known for her roles in various TV programmes which include Moyo (Waridi), Aziza (Dee), Maza ( Zari), Arosto (Zelda), Udhalimu ( Ashina) and Kijakazi (Lena).
In a different post on Instagram, Rashid Abdalla and Lulu recollected how passionate she was five days ago while they were on set working on a project.
"Five days ago we were on set working on a project that was tailor-made for you by @iamibrachi . You were so excited about the project. I guess this was a way of calling it a wrap. The industry will surely miss you. You gave more than 100% while on set. Fare thee well pretty," wrote Rashid.
