Tanzanian opposition leader, Tundu Lissu

 

Tanzanian opposition leader, Tundu Lissu, on Tuesday, left the country for Belgium.


The opposition leader had been residing in Germany before going back to Tanzania for general elections.


Lissu has been at the German embassy since Friday after revealing fears for his life.



In a video posted by Lissu on Twitter, the opposition leader was preparing to leave the country.


Lissu was the flagbearer for the Chadema party, which has challenged President John Magufuli of rigging.
