The Council of Governors(CoG) led by Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya has threatened to sue the government over the delayed disbursement of County(Devolution) funds.

The governor says the counties have been operating with insufficient funds and, derailing service delivery across the country.

The Governors now move to court to sue the Jubilee government for failing to provide funds as stated in the constitution.

However, Treasury CS Ukur Yattani says the state coffers are empty, and there was no sure promise.

The Central Bank through, Treasury CS spearheaded the move to expand the debt ceiling to 13 Trillion. The move would see the state getting more loans to sustain the government.
