Murang'a Women Representatives Sabina Chege says BBI was not taken to the people hence being unpopular in Mt Kenya.

She says BBI document has not been taken to the grassroots. The BBI jittery in the Central region has ignited mixed reactions.

" I don’t know why people are jittery about the BBI… We have not even taken it to the people, so how do you purport that this document is not popular when we have not even explained it to the people?" she said.

However, some leaders from the region have questioned the motive behind collecting signatures without residents reading the document.

"If BBI hasn’t been taken or explained to the people then how did its owners get 4million signatures? Any random survey shows signatures were faked, " said Mwea MCA Harrison Mwaluko.

" Majority of Kenyans are concerned about unemployment, food, education, shelter and health. BBI is a pipedream and should be shelved until after 2022 elections, " he added.
