Lockdown looms as virus infection numbers rise in Mombasa and Taita Taveta counties

Mombasa county fast-rising numbers of COVID-19 risks being locked down again. The Mombasa county health department recommends to the Health Ministry. 



However, the Ministry of Health had already warned the public over the rising cases and could lead to another lockdown next month.



Mombasa from the onset of 2021 has been getting double digits with its graph rising. 



According to the professionals, the ministry of health may be forced to review and propose to the head of state the new measures at the coastal city.


Taita Taveta and Mombasa counties are the leading counties with the highest number of infections this year at the coast.


However, economic experts warn about the diverse effects of locking down Nairobi and other nearby five counties which could be out of hand if Mombasa is also locked.
