Sagenya village family, Migori County, is living in fear after their female relative aged 40 years old left a will and vanished mysteriously on the night of April 22, 2021.
Area Assistant Chief Vincent Otieno said Mrs Jane Auma left the house when other family members were asleep and never returned.
The administrator said the family has been looking for the woman in vain, however, they found a will she wrote before she disappeared.
The woman, in the note, wrote at the end of the will that the family should look for her in a neighboring sorghum plantation.
The chief added that they have so far searched for her in the said plantation but that they are yet to locate her.
He said they are yet to learn why the woman escaped, however, that preceding investigation shows she had a constant dispute with her husband.
The Villagers said that the woman has been undergoing tough times with the husband after the onset of the virus pandemic.
