Court grants police to keep for 10 days, the widow of a Kenya Defence Forces officer who died during a fierce dispute at their residence in Kahawa Wendani, Kiambu county.

The move will permit police to handle investigations thoroughly into the incident.

The time will enable bureaus to conduct an autopsy on the body of Daniel Onyango on Wednesday to establish how he died.

The widow, Mrs Violet Asale, appeared before a Kiambu court on Tuesday when police made a miscellaneous application to restrain her as they conclude the probe into the death.

Asale is a musician who goes by the name Zian Achama.

Some of her songs include 'Nimechoka', 'I Love You', 'Falling in Love' and 'Gimme Love'.

The court reduced the requested days from 15 to 10.

Asale informed the investigators that her husband had trouble breathing and she did not bite him to death, as earlier said.

She added her husband marched out of their room after the argument, saying he was not able to breathe.
