Incoming Kilifi Senator George Kithi surprises other candidates for his layout of empowering youth and nurturing talents.

Speaking in Tezo, the prominent lawyer insisted that despite being in the Senate without a special kitty, he will always fight for talent development through other means.

" We have many betting companies, foundations, NGOs and many more structures that can help in boosting talent development in the area," he said.

" Senate has no special kitty but I will take the mantle on. Developments cannot be only brought by government funding alone, " he added.

"My commitment to empowering our youths through sporting activities is anchored right from the ground by providing sports kits across our county.

"Having visited and engaged several teams in our county, I have noticed that sports kits, playing ground and facilitation are the main challenges faced by our youths in sports.

"My Sports Programme intends to offer a gradual solution and eventually we will have solved a big percentage of the challenges.

" I distributed full sports kits to Mkoroshoni FC and Millenium Basket Ball Team, an event held at Mkoroshoni, Kilifi. That was just the starting point.

" As your incoming senator, I will always offer a helping hand in nurturing all kinds of sports in our county through partnerships as well," he added.
