[PHOTOS] Mike Sonko posts masters degree graduation pictures, ready to start PHD soon

Mike Sonko, a onetime Nairobi governor, claimed he will get his PhD in the next few years after graduating from Kenya Methodist University (KeMU).

Sonko graduated from the Nairobi-based college with a bachelor's degree in business administration.

The governor published his graduation images to disprove the doubters who claimed he obtained his degree certificate falsely.

The current election cycle has thrown numerous politicians into disarray after it was discovered that they lacked the necessary educational qualifications for several elected positions.

Other politicians, in a perfect situation of "cha mwenzako kikinyolewa chako kitie maji," have resorted to providing all documentation that they pursued tertiary education and graduated.

Sonko is a graduate of Kenya Methodist University (KeMU), where he earned a bachelor's degree in business administration.

Although his assurance that he finished his degree, some groups have always had reservations about the former county boss's academic standing.

Sonko allegedly obtained his papers and did not attend lectures, according to the doubting Thomases.

To show that he didn't agree with the critics, the lawmaker posted images of himself in class and at his graduation.

"Mnajua mimi sikosi evidence ya kitu yoyote. Very soon I will invite you to my PhD graduation (you all know that I never lack evidence when it is necessary. Very soon I will invite you to my PhD graduation)," Sonko jotted down on Facebook while assembling his photos.
