Raila, Ruto and Wajackoyah meet Wafula Chebukati over August 9 polls.

Presidential candidates have been called to a briefing session on the voting ballot by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission.

The conference will take place on June 29 at the Windsor Golf Hotel and Country Club.

The invitation states, "The Commission invites you to a presidential candidates consultation meeting set to be conducted at the Windsor Golf Hotel and Country Club from 9.00am on Wednesday, June 29, 2022.

The published voter list, the course of the election results, and the synchronization of presidential candidate campaigns are some of the topics that will be covered at the conference.

"Kindly be informed that you may bring a maximum of five people with you to the conference."

The conference was called in response to worries expressed by certain candidates about the intention to utilize just digital voter identification kits and what would happen if they didn't function.

The commission had previously made note of how the manual register's usage was a major factor in the irregularities in earlier elections.

Four candidates were approved by IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati to compete for the position of president of the nation, while 13 other candidates were disqualified.

The four approved individuals include William Ruto of the UDA party and Azimio's presidential candidate Raila Odinga.

The other two are Roots Party professor George Wajackoyah and Agano Party leader David Mwaure Waihiga.

"The contenders were satisfied in their request to compete," Chebukati said. "They satisfied the necessary constitutional and legislative requirements."
