Pepeta is a brand-new programme on the scene with a deep, relevant plot for its viewers.

Pepeta is produced by Showmax, which is widely renowned for its top-notch Kenyan original productions.

Pepeta is highly influenced by Harun "Rio" Wathari's life. The eight-part documentary explores the dreams and realities of children in Kibera, a district renowned for producing some of the country's top football players.

Junior (Brahim Ouma), who is 17 and a great football player, is torn between the risks of crime and the opportunities of soccer in the movie Pepeta, which is based on his life.

The aspirational football coach Biki (Lwanda Jawar) is attempting to scout Junior and his buddies before they get involved in a life of crime.
