Antonio Conte still in hospital
Antonio Conte is still in the hospital.

It was reported on Friday by the assistant manager of Tottenham, Cristian Stellini, that Antonio Conte is "quite near" going back to work.

Despite this, it is anticipated that Conte will not be present for this weekend's encounter against his old team, Chelsea.

It seems unclear that Conte will be able to participate in Sunday's game since he is now in Italy recovering from gallbladder surgery. His doctors have advised him to rest again.

After seeing Tottenham's losses against Leicester and AC Milan after his return to the bench, the 53-year-old manager came to the conclusion that he had moved to the bench too soon.

Stellini was in charge of the squad during last week's victory against West Ham and maintains consistent communication with Conte.

When asked by the media about the possibility of the manager coming back to Chelsea, Stellini responded, "I don't believe so."

"He is really near since I can also sense his power, even if it is not the right time right now." When we get calls three times a day, even at night, I definitely have the impression that Antonio is present.

"We talk a lot, and if we contrast how things were before Antonio's operation to how they are now, we can see that there has been a significant change."

"He is totally invested in the process." We impart to him our emotion, which is the sense that we have of the other players.

In the previous season, Tottenham was defeated by Chelsea in all four of its head-to-head matchups, including a semi-final matchup that was played over two legs.

If they were to win at home, though, they would move 14 points clear of their London rivals, who are now suffering.

"We are glad because, if we evaluate our squad compared to how it was in January of last year, we are better today," said Stellini, "but we still need to keep pushing forward and grow."

When we played Chelsea in the previous season, we had a lot of difficulties, but we're hoping things can improve this time around.

Stellini has achieved the same amount of triumphs when filling in for Conte as he did when he filled in for his superiors at Inter Milan, which brings his total number of wins while filling in for Conte to three.

"I appreciate being the leader in control a lot, but when you make a choice, you must perform your best," stated the former boss of the Italian team, Alessandria.

"Like a dream, there are occasions when I see myself working as a coach." Yet the fact of the matter is that I work as an assistant. I adore being an assistant. "I believe that I am capable of continuing in my profession since I am competent enough at it."
