Chopper carrying Isaac Mwaura and Redcross boss photo

In Kikuyu, Kiambu County, a helicopter-flying government spokesperson, Isaac Mwaura, makes an emergency landing in a thicket.

State spokesman Isaac Mwaura reported on Wednesday, May 8, that a helicopter carrying him and Kenya Red Cross officials made a life-saving landing in Kiambu after flying from Kisumu Airport.

A statement claims that the people on board were unhurt. The pilot's well-being and weather changes forced the landing in Kikuyu, Kiambu County.

Mwaura claimed that the helicopter's poor vision due to bad weather prevented it from continuing the voyage.

All passengers were unharmed during an unexpected touchdown, according to a government spokesperson.

On May 7, 2024, Red Cross representatives and government spokesman Isaac Mwaura gave food and non-food supplies to Kisumu County households impacted by flooding.

In addition to thanking Kenyans for their voiced worries, he praised God for everyone's safety on board the chopper.

"My fellow Kenyans, I'm safe." Because of the poor weather, our jet had to make an unexpected landing in Gishungo, Kikuyu Constituency.

"Idriss Ahmed, the general secretary of the Kenya Red Cross, and I travelled to Nyando in Kisumu to provide non-food items (NFI) to flood victims (FAP)."

"We thank God that we made it home safely," he said.
