A man jailed for roasting, boiling and eating dog meat in Meru -hunger

A man was arrested in Meru for roasting, boiling and eating dog meat. The man said that he had not eaten anything for two consecutive days.

The police in Meru arrested and locked him at Ciakariga police post. He was taken to court in Meru yesterday and sentenced 1-year imprisonment.

“The government does not recognize any form of hunger that made people eat such things. We recognize hunger-stricken areas but not in Meru, ” a police officer said.

The police have issued a warning that everyone should only eat what’s is required but not dogs or cats.
