Ministry of Gender says the Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru was impeached because she is a
” Woman.”
However, the Cabinet Secretary for the Public Service, Youth and Gender Affairs, Prof Margaret Kobia says there has been a target for women leadership in the country.
According to Prof. Margaret Kobia, the impeachment was done based on her gender.
In a letter that was written to the newsrooms, Prof. Margaret Kobia says gender-based targets has been rampant in Kenya.
Governor Anne Waiguru was impeached because of incompetency, abuse of office and corruption.
