Mr. Moses Kimanthi a computer teacher at Muvandori Day Secondary School in Embu North Sub-County accused of defiling and impregnating a 16-year-old studying student studying at the institution, has been arrested.
Moses Kimanthi was arraigned at the Embu Law Courts on Tuesday, January 14, where he pleaded not guilty to the charge of defilement.
Senior Resident Magistrate Tony Kwambai released Mr. Moses Kimanthi on a cash bail of Ksh50, 000 or a bond of Ksh100, 000.
The case will be mentioned on January 28 and heard on March 30, 2020.
According to the Mother who doubles to be a widow said her daughter had persistent ailments that made her changing hospitals only to find out her daughter was pregnant.
” When I asked my daughter to disclose who impregnated her, she said her computer teacher Moses Kimanthi. He used to help her study during weekends,” said the mother.
The mother-and-daughter, thereafter, filed reports at Kibugu Police Station in regard to the alleged defilement that resulted in the pregnancy which is seven months old as of January 2020.
