Meru County Senator Mithika Linturi has said the allegations that Deputy President William Ruto allies made their new party is simply dependent reports on the media.
He said ideological groups that are in the nation have been enlisted by the office of the Registrar of Political parties and Jubilee Asili isn’t one of them.
The Senator said that Jubilee Asili is only an insignificant office where Jubilee party MPs who are restricted to the main office can meet and solace each other.
“What I know is that there is an office where the like-minded people have decided that they must hire so that those people who cannot access the Jubilee Headquarters to sit down to brainstorm and to try to at least to comfort one another,” Linturi said.
Ruto had met MPs who were as of late dewhipped by their party from different situations in both the Senate and the National Assembly.
In a tweet after the meeting, DP Ruto posted another slogan – ‘Sote Pamoja’.
The MPs retweeted a tweet by the DP citing it with a similar motto in the most clear sign yet that they were ditching the Jubilee Party.
Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen had additionally declined saying there was no party formed..
“Ignore the rumors doing rounds. Jubilee Party is our party, our labour of love and visionary investment, whose fruits we look forward to enjoying.”
Murkomen added that “Jubilee Asili Centre is the meeting venue for and by members who have been restricted to the main party office on Thika Road.
