Last week, it became clear that both Arsenal and Chelsea are still interested in Riccardo Calafiori as the Premier League resumes next month.

Both clubs have investigated the terms of the deal, which are expensive because Basel will receive almost 50% of the fee. Alafiori gave the green light to Juventus, but Bologna’s preference is to sell abroad.

Also, negotiations between Bayern and Fulham for João Palhinha are ongoing, advancing despite the initial gap in valuation.

Palhinha is hopeful that Fulham will allow him to join Bayern after agreeing to personal terms and demonstrating commitment and professionalism, despite the move collapsing on deadline day last summer.

On the other side, Brighton has initiated discussions with the agents of Mats Wieffer, who is part of the club’s shortlist and one of several players under AC Milan’s scrutiny. Brighton have started talks on the player side, waiting to advance with Feyenoord.

At Stamford Bridge, Carney Chukwuemeka’s contract includes a £40 million release clause.

Chelsea maintains their stance of not allowing a talented midfielder to leave on loan. In recent months, Chelsea has rejected every approach for a potential loan.

Official, confirmed. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall joined Chelsea on a £30 million transfer from Leicester City.

The contract with Chelsea Talent extends until June 2030. A £5 million separate deal will see Michael Golding join Leicester City FC.
