Zachariah Kariuki, a well-known Kenyan comedian known by his stage name KK Mwenyewe, reportedly consumed an excessive amount of jalapeo peppers, leading to his hospital admission on Friday.
The comic, best known for his Thursday impersonation of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, vowed to eat a kilogram of chili peppers if Chelsea defeated his favorite team, Manchester United.
Unfortunately for him, the Red Devils lost the match at Stamford Bridge on Thursday night by a score of 4-3. As a result, he felt obligated to fulfill his pledge to his followers.
By my commitment, I shall consume one whole kilogram of chili peppers. “I’m uncertain about the outcome, but let’s commence,” KK declared in a photo he shared just before Friday morning. The shot showed him holding a dish of peppers.
In addition to that, he uploaded a video that showed him drinking the hot components and confessing that he was oblivious to the ramifications of his actions.
As shown in the video, the comic had a difficult time swallowing the peppers and was unable to consume even two tablespoons of the spicy fruit.
After he was unable to proceed, he was seen sipping soda, most likely to alleviate the burning feeling that was occurring in his mouth. Furthermore, he appeared to be attempting to cleanse his teeth and consume a significant amount of sugar to mitigate the strong taste.
Later on Friday, the comedian uploaded a video that seemed to show him staying in the hospital and undergoing treatment while lying on a hospital bed.
“I am experiencing hydration. The physician diagnosed me as dehydrated. The nerves in my tummy are tingling. The feeling is a living horror,” KK said with his pal.
Both my blood pressure and my blood levels decreased dramatically, and my blood pressure was high.
Reports indicated that I lost seven kg of fluids during my illness. According to the physicians, it is not a dangerous condition. He continued by saying, “But I have the impression that I do not know if it is the peppers that caused it or…”
Immediately after the disappointing conclusion, the comedian made it quite plain that he would never do anything of this kind again, and he also declared that he would no longer be a supporter of football.
