Stephen Mokogi Nyarenchi released on Sh 2,000 cashbail after denying taking Mace from parliament

Stephen Mokogi Nyarenchi has been Released on a cash bail of Sh 2,000

Milimani Law Courts released Mr. Stephen Mokogi Nyarenchi on Sh2,000 cash bail after he denied taking the mace from Parliament.

They allegedly took Stephen Makongi home after chasing the Mace in Githurai, where shootings occurred.

Stephen Mokogi Nyarenchi at Milimani Law Courts where he was charged before Principal Magistrate Ben Mark Ekhubi with unlawful entry into the parliamentary compound by climbing over the fence along Parliament Road on June 28, 2024. 

He pleaded not guilty and was released on a cash bail of Sh 2,000.  He has also denied taking the missing mace of Parliament.

Police arrested him, but he did not have the mace, and they claimed they confused him with someone else. 

The Milimani Law Courts have charged Stephen Mokogi Nyarenchi with unlawful entry into the parliamentary compound by climbing over the fence and stealing the mace.

He also faces charges of trespassing and causing unnecessary public anxiety. Gen Z received a cash release of Sh2,000.

The judge stated that Milimani Law Court had not received any evidence to charge him with a felony or treason. No mace was recovered in the process of arresting the young man.
