DCI recommends serious charges against several Members of Parliament for their alleged involvement in planning, mobilising, and financing anti-government protests.
Embakasi Central MP Benjamin Gathiru Mwangi is facing charges for soliciting/inciting others to commit an offence as outlined in Section 391 of the Penal Code.
The inquiry suggests that both MPs Mwangi and Gakuya, along with Theuri, Wambugu, and Mr. Pius G. Munene, are correspondingly implicated.
There are also recommendations for money laundering charges against MP Benjamin Gathiru Mwangi in connection with the Proceeds of Crime and Anti-Money Laundering Act.
Intelligence reports suggest that these MPs were involved in arranging meetings at Hotel Boulevard in Nairobi, prompting the inquiry.
However, sources reveal that the MPs only paid goons and looters to paint protestors in a bad light. They exploited the peaceful protests to create a chaotic atmosphere.
More sources hinted that MP Kimani Ichungwa and Governor Johnson Sakaja trumped up accusations against the MPs as they were seen as Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua loyalists.
