Faith Odhiambo, the president of the Law Society of Kenya, has now confirmed the discovery and survival of Free Kenya Movement coordinator Bob Njagi. The timing of the Kitengela 3 release and former acting IG Gilbert Masengeli’s sentencing is suspicious, as is the swearing-in of new IG Douglas Kanja.
Faith Odhiambo stated that Njagi showed up at the Tigoni police station after his kidnappers allegedly dumped him nearby.
“At around 1 a.m., Bob Njagi managed to find his way to the Tigoni police station for assistance. He is alive and well,” Odhiambo said.
She also revealed that the activist had sent her a message confirming his safety.
“The message from Bob and family is, ‘To family, friends, and every Kenyan who has continued to pray for me, I wish to confirm that I am well and with my family.
“It is now time to quiet the noise, be grateful for life, and for everyone to reflect on why Kenya matters,” Njagi said, according to the LSK president.
Three individuals, including Njagi, went missing in Kitengela a month ago.
Citizens view the release of the Longton brothers and Bob Njagi on the night of Masengeli’s sentence commencement as suspicious. “We hold the belief that Babu Owino has significantly contributed to the release. Why does it seem like a calculated attempt to deflect attention away from Masengeli?” Sheldon Mwangi posted on X.
