Wetangula, UDA SG Omar Hassan trumps up DP Gachagua impeachment

The drive to impeach Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has gathered over 300 signatures, surpassing the necessary 117, according to Acting UDA Secretary General Hassan Omar.

Omar has criticised Gachagua for promoting tribal politics and threatening national unity.

His statement follows Gachagua’s accusation that President William Ruto is encouraging MPs to impeach him, a claim that COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli also supported, calling for his arrest over his divisive remarks.

Moses Wetangula, Speaker of the National Assembly, supports Deputy President Gachagua’s impending impeachment.

“Moses, an Israelite by birth, grew up in an Egyptian palace.”

“He once witnessed an Egyptian kill an Israelite man. He defended him by killing the aggressor and then fled to the wilderness.”

“When the time was right, God used him to rescue the entire tribe of Israel from the oppressive rule of the Pharaohs.”

“God designed his association with the pharaohs during his childhood.” He never forgot his tribe. I also cannot forget who I am. I know who I am,” said Hon.Gathoni Wamuchomba, the Member of Parliament Githunguri Constituency while in a church service in Meru, accompanying Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
