In elections scheduled for February 5 of the following year, Raila Odinga, a former prime minister of Kenya, is running for the position of Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC).
Kenya has organized various meetings to support an individual who is running for this job.
It is anticipated that Odinga will formally open his campaign on November 8 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
This would be around two months after his previous campaign event, which took place in Nairobi on August 27.
The campaign team for Odinga has said that they are now working on finalizing preparations for the launch event, which will take place at the headquarters of the African Union (AU) the following month.
Odinga will be attending the Energy Conference in Cape Town, South Africa, on November 5, three days before the commencement of the campaign.
Shortly after that, he will go to Baku, Azerbaijan, for the COP29 conference, which will take place from November 16 to November 20.
