At the time of his arrest at JKIA, Eric Omondi was attempting to board a trip to Dar es Salaam on the first Skyward Express airline to that city in Tanzania.
Skyward Express Airlines had made an official announcement earlier about the commencement of direct flights between Nairobi, Kenya, and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
Eric Omondi said, “I have been arrested at KIA. Just before I boarded a flight to Dar es Salaam. As a brand ambassador to Skyward, we were launching the INAUGURAL Dar es Salaam flight. Upon handing over my passport, the immigration officers informed me that there is a stop order and that I cannot travel and I have to be detained.”
The airline’s objective was to provide customers with high-quality services at prices that were accessible to them.
Following a statement released on Wednesday, the airline revealed that the rates for these new flights will start at just Ksh 11,000, aiming to appeal to a diverse range of passengers who are traveling between the two adjacent nations.
As far as Skyward Express is concerned, this promotion started on November 6 at eleven in the morning and will continue until eleven in the evening on November 11th.
There will be a period of travel that spans from the 15th of November (the day of debut) to the 31st of March in 2025.
The purpose of this program is to improve the comfort of travel for people living in East Africa while simultaneously enhancing the commercial and social linkages that exist between Kenya and Tanzania.
