ODM and BBI leader Raila Odinga meet Maa Community in a region perceived to be a Jubilee stronghold. Raila Odinga meets Kajiado Governor Joseph Ole Lenku and his Narok counterpart Samuel Ole Tunai who are perceived to be strong Jubilee Allied leaders.
“The meeting was informed by concerns that divisions have over the years made the Maa community lose out in negotiations that have shaped Kenya. Leaders expressed concern that the Maa delegation was divided at the Lancaster Constitution Conference and also in the making of the 2010 Constitution," he said.
“Currently attending a consultative meeting with leaders of the Maa community from seven counties to brainstorm on issues ahead of the upcoming BBI forum that will be held in Narok,” Raila tweeted on Monday, February 17.

Raila Odinga said the Maa community has been sidelined for a long time, maintaining that BBI will attempt to ensure their issues are addressed fully. They were setting the stage for a mega rally in Narok on Saturday, February 22.
