President Kenyatta urged Kenyans to wear locally made clothing to promote local industries.
The President said in a tweet which also showed a colourful photomontage in which he was wearing his beloved floral-motif shirts.
The President move comes just a day after he declared a deliberate and continued Government strategy steered at reviving Kenya’s textile industry.
“The revival of Kenya’s leading textile factories among them Rivatex, Thika Cotton Mills and Ken Knit among others, is a thoughtful and sustained Government strategy aimed at helping cotton farmers, growing local industries and creating jobs for the youth,” President Uhuru said.
