IEBC publishes BBI signatures for people to verify whether listed without their consent

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC)asks Kenyans to verify their details and check whether they signed as supporters of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) Bill 2020 without their consent or forcefully.


IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati, in an advertisement placed in the local dailies on Thursday, said that they have made public a list of verified supporters on their website.

The move came after a clean-up exercise by the commission removing incomplete records, duplicates and those not in the register of voters.


“Further, the commission has uploaded a list of verified supporters in its website to enable them (voters) check and confirm their details,” said Chebukati.
