Kipkaren Police probe an event where leaflets distributed warning non-locals to move out

 

Police in Kipkaren, Uasin Gishu County probes an event where leaflets were distributed in the area warning non-locals to move out.


According to the Police report, the leaflets were circulated on Saturday, December 3, 2020, causing tension in Kipkaren.


Mau Kipkaren elder identified as Mr Tanui reported that several people had seen the leaflets and are in circulation threatening non-locals.


“Police rushed to the estate and found the leaflets scattered all over which targeted non-locals,” the report read in part.


It further informed that detectives have been deployed within the Estate and they are investigating to establish the “authenticity of the leaflets and no arrest has been made so far.”
