After obtaining the ODM party ticket in yesterday's primaries, radio personality Felix Oduor alias Jalang'o will be on the ballot in the Lang'ata parliamentary contest.

Jalas knocked his opponent Oscar Omoke off the ballot with 3,509 votes to Omoke's 1,612.

"God is the most important thing in the world!" He posted on Twitter, "We got the Lang'ata ODM ticket!!"

The political newcomer will almost certainly face incumbent MP Nixon Korir, who is seeking re-election.

On a UDA ticket will run DP Ruto's ally, who was the first Kalenjin man to win an election in the seat, which has been ruled by the ODM party for decades.
