Many individuals have already begun compiling their wish lists for 2023, with just a day left until that year.
Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) in Mulago founder Prophet Samuel Kakande is demanding Sh500,000 from people who wish to ring in the new year with a "special touch."
Kakande said that "those who wish to greet the new year with a particular touch would spend merely Sh 500,000" in a video that has gone viral on social media.
On December 31, 2022, throughout the day, there will be a "special touch prayer."
Kakande urged his supporters to pay him $300 in November of this year so he could buy a new car.
2017 also saw the viral video of Kakande selling "holy rice" for Sh50000. The outrage over this was palpable on social media.
