Dr Hassan Galiwango, who served as Uganda's high commissioner in Kenya, has passed away.
Rebecca Kadaga, who is the minister for East African community affairs and the first deputy prime minister of Uganda, said that Galiwango died on January 16 while getting medical care in Nairobi.

The heart-related issues that the special envoy was experiencing required medical attention in Nairobi.
She stated, "It is with great sorrow that I announce the death of H.E. Dr. Galiwango, High Commissioner of Uganda to Kenya, which happened this morning."
"The passing of H.E. Dr. Galiwango, High Commissioner of Uganda to Kenya, occurred this morning."
The envoy passed away in the Nairobi Hospital.
