Candidates for the role must be Kenyan nationals and have a minimum of 15 years of experience working in the media or in communications.

A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a media-related field is also required.

The PSC went on to say that the candidate "must show an in-depth grasp of the national development goals, strategies, and objectives, particularly the government's transformation program."

Duties of candidate

The spokesperson will use the media to tell the public about projects, programs, and policies of the government.
