Joey Tribbiani and Urmila Matondkar

A fake video has surfaced that imagines the cast of the iconic US show Friends as a Bollywood production.

In the video, six Bollywood actors play the ensemble cast of Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer.

The AI-generated video casts Salman Khan as Matt LeBlanc's Joey Tribbiani and Urmila Matondkar as Rachel Green, Jennifer Aniston's original role.

Manisha Koirala, who plays Monica Geller opposite Courteney Cox, and Juhi Chawla, who plays Phoebe Buffay opposite Lisa Kudrow, also appear in the video.

Additionally, Akshay Kumar plays Ross Geller, portrayed by David Schwimmer, and Aamir Khan plays Chandler Bing, played by Matthew Perry.

The video has garnered attention for its accuracy in depicting the characters, with Urmila's diva portrayal of Rachel and Juhi's infectious smile as Phoebe being particularly noteworthy.

We also praised Salman's messy hair and carefree look as Joey, Aamir's wide-eyed expression as Chandler, and Akshay's famous pout and frown as Ross.

However, Kangana Ranaut's remark about Urmila Matondkar has also stirred controversy following the video's release.

Kangana referred to Urmila, an accomplished actress and successful star, as a "soft porn star" on live TV, which many found offensive.

Additionally, while some have criticised Supriya Shrinate for her stance on the matter, others have questioned why Dilip Ghosh's derogatory remark about Mamata Banerjee and Kangana's previous slurs against Urmila have not received the same level of criticism.

"I don't stand by the unethical post, but where were these people when Kangana called Urmila Matondkar a'soft porn artist', called Swara Bhasker 'B grade'" Actor Andria Dsouza said.
