A 15-year-old boy from Uasin Gishu is in court accused of defiling a 6-year-old girl, sodomizing three boys, and infecting them with HIV.
The request had been recorded in camera because of the contents and nature of the case. It is alleged that the person being accused, a student in eighth grade, carried the infection from birth.
In violation of the sx offenses act of 2006's Sections 8(1) and 8(2), the youngster was accused of defiling another minor.
According to the indictment document, he violated the girl on many occasions this year between January and April. In addition, he was accused of intentionally spreading HIV.
The defendant, accompanied by attorney Oscar Oduor, refuted the accusation in front of Eldoret Chief Magistrate Dennis Mikoyani.
In light of the fact that the person being charged was also a youngster in desperate need of nurturing and safeguarding, lawyer Oduor implored the court to grant him freedom on reasonable bail conditions.
The court will recognise that the person being assaulted and the one being charged are both minors and require assistance and safeguarding after considering the issue at hand. Mr. Oduor addressed the court, saying, "I kindly request that this court release the accused on lenient bond terms."
After the defence filed a motion, the judge freed him with a comparable surety and a Sh50,000 bail. On May 13, the topic will be discussed in order to get more guidance about the pre-trial process.
Two weeks before, the kid was accused of defiling a nine-year-old youngster. It is scheduled to be discussed on Friday, May 3.

The adolescent male, according to investigators, has a history of sodomising three boys and defiling five girls.
As a potential suspect in adult offences, he has started to visit the police station often. Seven of the eight purported defilements of youngsters in his locality are still being looked at by investigators. He's already been accused of forcing a youngster into prostitution.
On Monday, the eighth-grader was accused of defiling a nine-year-old kid after a pro bono attorney was identified to defend him. According to the charge sheet, the kid soiled a nine-year-old boy in March.
Owing to his advanced age, the court extended utmost mercy to him, which enabled his mother to post Sh8,000 in cash bond to ensure his liberty until the matter is heard and decided.
The kid had previously been charged with similar offences, but Eldoret Senior Resident Magistrate Kyne Odhiambo ruled that the juvenile be assisted in obtaining a pro bono attorney because of his age and the nature of the conduct.
Authorities believe he began having interactions when he was ten years old. His playmates, who are boys between the ages of five and nine, are among the victims.
An investigating officer said, "We have had to caution him and discharge him from custody due to his age," in response to a request to hold the suspect while inspections into one of the instances were ongoing before the Eldoret court.
Speaking in private before an Eldoret magistrate, the investigating officer expressed remorse for the lack of progress made in trying to assist the youngster in changing his ways and avoid going to court.
Under condition of anonymity, the officer said, "We were hesitant about rushing the matter to court, considering at heart that the youngster is a child in dire need of safeguarding and care, but as a result of his disrespectful conduct, but it also we were compelled to request arbitration on the situation."
