DP Gachagua praises Royal Media Stations amid CA crackdown

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has praised Royal Media Services’ radio station, Inooro FM, for the calibre of its news and programme coverage.

Gachagua issued a statement on Saturday, July 27, in which it thanked the staff and leadership of Inooro FM for the station’s 21st anniversary.

RMS organized the station’s anniversary party in Carnivore, Nairobi County, where the principal guest, the DP, revealed that Inooro FM has experienced significant growth over the past two decades.

For more than twenty years, the staff and management of Inooro FM have shown immense dedication and determination, which has resulted in the station becoming a well-known and respected entity. 

As members of your audience, we have discovered that the specific programmes that you have produced that cover important topics like commerce and investment, entrepreneurship, healthy living, culture, and religion, amongst others, have been of tremendous use to us.

DP Gachagua stated that all of these things speak to our hearts.

Additionally, Gachagua expressed gratitude to the Chairman of the RMS, Dr. SK Macharia, as well as his wife and Vice Chairperson, Gathoni Macharia, the Managing Director, Wachira Waruru, and the Inooro Station Manager, Wanjiku Gitonga, for their continuous and strategic leadership.

He made it clear that the media’s primary purposes are to inform, educate, and entertain people.

According to DP Gachagua, the media has become an increasingly important element of effective government and socioeconomic growth.

For more than twenty years, Inooro FM has been an essential resource for millions of its listeners in Kenya and throughout the Diaspora, providing them with information, entertainment, and educational opportunities. 

He concluded by saying, “We wish Inooro FM and the entire RMS many more years of educating, informing, and entertaining our people.”
