National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula, through President William Ruto, appointed his son Alvin Wetangula to be a board member at Kenya Railways.
People on social media criticised that move. The news emerged just a day after sources accused Majority Kimani Ichungwa of bringing his family to the government.
Kimani’s sister has received an MCA nomination, while her in-laws hold various government positions such as ambassadors and PS’s.
Top government dignitaries attended Alvin’s lavish wedding last year.
Alvin, the son of National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula, tied the knot with the love of his life, Naisula Leteipan, during a lavish wedding at their rural Bungoma County home.
For the traditional nuptials, Alvin Wetangula wore a green suit with similar-colored embroidery on the collar and arms.
On the other hand, the bride celebrated her culture by wearing an aquamarine green laced dress with traditional headgear.
Traditional Bukusu music and cuisine delighted the guests during the celebrations.
Among those in attendance were Trade Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria and Governors Joseph Ole Lenku (Kajiado) and Kenneth Lusaka (Bungoma).
