Police officer to be charged with murder. The Police Officer who killed a bodaboda rider at Mama lucky was taken to jail awaiting investigation.
An Administration Police officer who shot and killed a Boda Boda rider at Mama Lucy Hospital was on Thursday arrested and arraigned before a Nairobi court.
24-year-old Daniel Mburu was reportedly taking an injured child from Korokocho to the facility for treatment when a disagreement ensued between him and the officer, Zaddock Oyieka.
Appearing before Magistrate Eston Nyaga, officer Oyieka was detained for 6 days pending completion of investigations into the incident.
The prosecution had requested 14 days to record all witness statements and for the suspect to be taken for mental assessment then he will be charged with murder.
He is expected to be brought back to court on February 28.
