Tanzania opposition party (CHADEMA) endorses Uhuru Kenyatta for his presidential bid.

The Tanzania Opposition party is set to back President Uhuru Kenyatta in his presidential bid to secure his seat.  Chama Cha Demokrasia na Maendeleo (CHADEMA) said that it will be at the centre for advocating for the people of Kenya to support President Uhuru Kenyatta in the August polls.

CHADEMA chairman Freeman Mbowe told the part council that after their assessment in party politics in Kenya politics they had a choice of Uhuru Kenyatta because of better democracy and promoting business in the East Africa.

“CHADEMA was dismayed by Kenya’s opposition Raila Odinga after he supported his friend President Dr John Pombe Maghufuli in the 2015 general elections,” Mbowe said.

“We supported Raila Odinga during the 2012 elections in Kenya but to our surprise, when it come to the 2015 polls in Tanzania, he supported CCM candidate, Dr Pombe Maghufuli. Odinga is a traitor.” Mbowe added.
