The Jubilee team got another major blow after the court ruled out public resources advertising as stipulated in the constitution in section 14 of elections act. The party has been chest thumbing following the launch of Public resources portal dubbed as delivery Kenya.
President Uhuru Kenyatta’s team on Monday was dealt a major blow following a court ruling ahead of the fresh presidential poll.
The High court blocked the Presidential Delivery Unit from placing adverts on Jubilee achievements in print, electronic or banners.
The case was filed by Katiba Institute which held that the Government cannot use public resources to advertise its achievements during the election period.
The Jubilee party through their secretary general Raphael Tuju has condemned the high court for subverting people information. “People are entitled to information and should be informed. Delivery Kenya was created to provide a sustainable information system of what was given to counties.” Tuju said.
