Adani group establishes Airports Infrastructure PLC (AIP) to manage JKIA

Adani Enterprises has established a new subsidiary in Kenya called Airports Infrastructure PLC (AIP).

AIP’s primary goal is to take over, operate, maintain, develop, design, construct, upgrade, modernise, and manage airports in Kenya.

On August 30, 2024, Global Airports Operator, a step-down subsidiary based in Abu Dhabi, officially incorporated AIP in Kenya.

The company has an issued share capital of KES 675,000,000, divided into 6750 equity shares, each valued at KES 100,000.

Global Airports Operator L.L.C. (GAO), the parent company, will hold 100% of the share capital of Airports Infrastructure PLC, ensuring full control over the entity.

The Kenya Companies Act, 2015, which governs AIP’s legal registration, guides its incorporation.

Business operations for AIP have not yet commenced, indicating that the company is still in the early stages of its establishment.
